Kind Words from
Past Families
We cannot imagine (and are thankful we don’t have to imagine) what our birth story would be without Tay.
Many of my friends and family questioned my decision to hire a doula given my medical training. My explanation was, my doula wasn’t just “for me”; she was there to support my family (husband and soon-to-be-born daughter) through the most wild physical, emotional and mental journey we had all ever been through….
Little could I realize before delivery how deeply true this would be. If you are reading this as a first time delivery, please take my word; if you have been though delivery before I’m sure you understand, no matter how similar or dissimilar our birth stories are.
Tay was the calm in the rain, the storm and the hurricane. She was the literal voice telling me I WAS the storm when the devil tried to tell me I couldn’t handle what was happening or what was about to come. She advocated for me and empowered my family in moments when my voice felt weak and she supported my decision as birth plans changed due to changes (or lack of changes) in labor progression. We cannot imagine (and are thankful we don’t have to imagine) what our birth story would be without Tay. Words will never be able to represent how thankful we are for her many hours and love she poured into our new family.
Additionally, I have no idea how she captured so many moments amongst all the support she provided, some of which were so brief they would not have been saved in my memory. We savor these pictures as a way to better understand/process and remember our birth story as well as share glimpses with friends and loved ones who could not be there a physically to support us.

“Tej was an absolute gem to be around! I utilized her for maternity photos and my gosh, she did not disappoint! She gave great pregnancy tips while talking all things babies, motherhood, being step moms, and just life.
1000000% suggest everyone booking her for photos and doula services. Thanks for capturing such a beautiful moment in our lives xoxo”

“I am very lucky enough to have Tej as my doula. Tej was the most amazing doula and support person I could ever imagine! My labor journey would have not been same without her. Hiring Tej as our doula was one of the best decision we made. She was there for me during the labor and postpartum. Her kindness, support and guidance was so helpful.
I cant say enough how grateful I am to have a doula like Tej.”- Mouniika

“My husband and I met Tay at a doula event where we met about 8 other doulas in our area. We had made our decision pretty early on which doula we would hire but then we met Tay. We both left the event and agreed we wanted to hire her for the birth of our first child. She just seemed so passionate about what she was doing and the person we needed at our birth.
I had a pretty rough labor that expanded over a almost 4 day period. Tay was there, whether in person, through phone or text, during each day. At the end of the third day, we were told by my midwife that we could make our way over to the birth center to see my progress, but it wasn’t a guarantee I would stay. Shortly after we arrived, (by this point it was Friday at 1130pm), Tay arrived just in case I went into active labor. Thankfully I had progressed enough and I was admitted to the room where I would birth. Tay was so incredible during my labor, making sure I was hydrated, telling me I was doing a great job, and telling me the baby was so close to getting here. That night was a blur but I vividly remember how supported I felt during that moment. Tay also took photos, gave me hip squeezes when my husband was feeding me or needed a break. At the end I had a retained placenta and was rushed to the hospital and even though Tay wasn’t allowed to come in (Covid), she waited outside for close to an hour and told my husband what to do and ask for at the hospital. She made sure my baby and I had skin to skin even if it was for a short period of time and that my daughter and husband were also okay.
I would 110% recommend Tay to anyone considering a doula. She helped me get my mindset right and believed in my ability to deliver naturally with no epidural when I began having doubts. She also taught my husband what he needed to do to make sure I was supported. I can’t recommend Tay enough, she is just amazing.” - Karla

“When I decided to have a Doula it was rather late in my pregnancy. Because of this and COVID I only met Tej. One time via Zoom. I was able to explain to her what I was hoping to experience during my son's birth. I messaged her the morning my contractions started and she said she would head over, not to worry if I was having false contractions that she wanted to come by anyways. As soon as she arrived she took action. I was her primary focus. She made sure she offered many positions to help with the pain of the contractions. She made sure I had water and gave me small snacks to keep my energy up. Tej took it upon herself to contact my Midwife to keep her up to date and let her know when to show. She directed my husband to get the birthing tub set up while she tended to me. Once I was to begin pushing her words were so helpful. I still hear her guiding me through with her words of wisdom, comfort and confidence. Her energy is so calming and reassuring. I feel everyone should have a Tej by their side.” -Stephanie

Tej was exactly who I needed and came into my life just when I really needed her help. She was willing to answer my questions and lead me through navigating the health care system before I even hired her. There were so many things I didn’t know as a FTM and she gave me all the information and resources no one else would or could give me. She was supportive of me and my choices completely and I felt safer having her at my birth. When I saw her come through the labor door I was immediately relieved. In all the ways we weren’t prepared to go through this experience Tej was compassionate and non-judgemental. My twin birth was especially complicated and she helped me with every hurdle and was a great support. If I have another pregnancy, I will not do it without her. If you’re not sure about getting a doula, just do it. It’s 💯 worth it! -Buffy

I love her so much that I booked her twice for both of my pregnancies! Tejanita is a staple on my journey to motherhood. She grounds me, calms my anxiety, and is the best advocate when times get tough (or when things could get tough). She is very knowledgeable and continues to grow her expertise to be the best version she can be for you. I'd recommend her to anyone! <3 -Erika

“Tej was amazing! She was thoughtful, took time to intentionally listen to my concerns and thoughts, was extremely friendly and had a loving compassionate heart while under her care. I would 10/10 recommend her as a personal doula for anyone looking to have the care they desire and that they will never forget. Thank you so much for your help and support during my labor and delivery process! :)” -Kirstin
Tay was absolutely amazing.
She wasn't suppose to be my doula originally. The woman that was supposed to be my doula was recovering from a car crash and reached out to Tay to be there for me and I thank God for her!
I was pregnant with twins and would be Tay's first time supporting a twin birth and I wouldn't have even known it because she was so supportive, so professional, and very loving. My labor was about 40 hours and She constantly encouraged me throughout the entire process. She showed me numerous positions to relieve pain, she played Christian music, and prayed with me throughout my labor. She advocated for me when nurses told me I couldn't do certain things, such as take a bath.
She also took pictures during labor and birth and it was all so beautifully done. I will cherish those photos for life.
She also encapsulated my placentas and I'm very thankful I decided to do that.
Im forever grateful that God brought Tay into my life at such an important time to be such an amazing light in my life at this time.
Thank you Tay!
